lately

Lately I was entertaining the thought of dissolving this blog for mainly due to lack of enought time on hand to update and post a descent article. 

I was also planning of setting-up another blog, an improved version of this one which could actually reflect who I am without any pretentions (pity me, even here I am bound to not be myself).

Anyway, life lately meant office by 10 am, paper works, lunch, paper works, break and home by 10 or 11 pm.  

Yes I know! 

Sche

Since Paje left for the States last month, Sche and I haven’t had the chance to sit down and talk. I didn’t buy the idea initially despite of Paje’s constant nagging to meet Sche and see to it that he is coping well with their sudden fall out. My reason was Sche robbed me and Paje the chance to spend time together during my friend’s last remaining days here. I wanted to be mature on that matter back then but would I just passed the last opportunity for my bestfriend and I to talk knowing that we will not be seeing each other for a very, very ling time if not ever. In the end, I was left with no choice. Sche ate out most of Paje’s time which as I expected didn’t do them and their relationship any good.

Lately Sche had been texting me evidently seeking attention. There was this one time when he claimed to be dating here and there and having the time of his life as if not affected with Paje’s absence. I didn’t buy it. I know time is nearing when Sche wouldn’t have the strength to pull it in together. I can’t help but grinned knowing the fact that regardless of how much he poured himself out for Paje, my friend just wouldn’t budge to consider his thoughts. Serve him (Sche) right!

gusto ko lang magkwento

Noon nakaraang Miyerkules, lumiban muna ako sa opisina para asikasuhin ang passport application ko sa DFA. Isinama ko si Aye dahil nabalitaan ko na madami daw manloloko naglipana sa labas ng nasabing ahensiya. Hindi naman sa ana-ana ako pero kung saka-sakaling mabibiktima kaming dalawa, hindi lang ako ang mapagtatawanan

Simula pa lang ng araw ng paglalakad naming ng passport eh sablay na kami. Salamat na sa piniratang DVD na pinanood namin nun nakaraang gabi – nakangputakte! tinanghali kami ng gising. Hindi lang sana yun ang lalabas sa bibig ko ng sabihin ni Aye na, “sinadya ko na hapon na tayo pumunta ng DFA dahil payo ng tita eh mas kaunti ang tao sa hapon”.

Okay, fine. We had our lunch then made our way to SM Manila to have our photos taken. While waiting for our turn, napansin ko na ang Aye eh walang dalang costume. So ano pa nga ang gagawin naming kundi maghiraman na lang kami ng polo. Kelangan kasi na descent ang appearance mo sa photo – meaning collared shirt on white background. Nakikinita ko na, by the time na mag-travel kami ni Aye siguradong mapapansin ng agent namin at ng kung sinuman titingin ng passport naming na iisa ang polong suot naming when we applied for our passport. Ang chaka!

Anyway, passed 2 pm na ng makaalis na kami ng SM Manila, 3 pm ng marating naming ang DFA, at totoo nga ang balita – napadaming fixer sa labas ng DFA. There was this stocky guy who escorted us to a nearby house. Buti na lang napatapang ang timpla ko ng kape at alert-ness ako sa ganyang mga modus-operandi. I quickly grabbed Aye and walked straight towards the gate. In less than 30 minutes, natapos na naming yun application process. Gumastos lang kami ng Php770 bawat isa – Php90 sa picture, Php500 na processing fee at Php180 na delivery charges dahil ayaw na naming bumalik pa.

it’s the weather!

Almost every blog site I visited today had at least one common entry this week – that is, how sick their authors are due to the weather. You may count this blog in! I myself have not been feeling well since last week.. well honestly since this morning lang.

Noon nakaraan lingo kasi kinailangan ko lumiban sa opisina para asikasuhin ang passport application ko sa DFA. Para makasiguradong papayagan ako, hindi na ako nagpaalam  este tinext ko na lang yun manager ko na, “I’m a little under the weather today hence I can’t report to the office” – oh di ba astig!

Para mas kapani-paniwala eh idinamay ko na rin yun sumunod na araw. If it wasn’t for the deliverable due this week, I wouldn’t have gone to the office last Friday. Hindi naman siguro ako mapupulaan pagdating sa report na ipinasa ko dahil bukod saw ala talagang isyu na mahalukay sa company na ni-re-review naming eh hindi hamak na maayos ang pagkaka-draft ko ng report.

Anyway, last weekend pinagawa na namin ni Aye yun kuwarto dating inuukopa ng pinsan ko. At syempre dahil sa excited ako ayusin yun bagong room naming, nag-leave ulet ako simula pa lang ng lingo.

Ewan ko ba kung bakit mas gusto ko pa pumirmi sa bahay para maglinis o maglaba kaysa pumasok sa opisina, maupo, magpalamig at mag-internet-galore. Marahil dala na rin ito ng boredom ko sa work brought about by my familiarity with all facet of it.

However, the universe has its own way of teaching a lesson. Mukhang kinarma ako dahil pag-gising ko kaninang umaga eh tumutulo na sipon ko – siguro kung hindi ko pa namalayan yun malamig at malapot na likidong gumuguhit across my cheek eh nalagutan na ako ng buhay sa pagkalunod sa sipon. Pag-alis ko naman ng bahay sobrang init tapos pagdating ko dito sa opisina eh mala-winter-wonderland ang drama ng aircon. Ang sakit sa ulo! Ngayon alam ko na kung bakit tumaba ako sa trabaho ko – it’s my body’s way of adopting to its environment tulad ng mga polar bear na kailangan mag-ipon ng fats sa katawan para i-insulate ang init sa loob (making-excuses!).

Ang masama nito eh, wala na akong leave credits ngayong totoong may sakit na ako. Oh my gulay! Ngayon tutulo-tulo ang sipon ko at sisinghot-singhot ako dito.
